Albert
Vila
Nov 7, 1962 — Aug 9, 2024
Brooklyn
Albert was born. On November 7th, 1962, to Ralph, and Mary Vila. Sadly, he departed on Friday, the 9th of August 2024.
He leaves behind his sister, Christine Vila-Davidson, his twin brother Rene, and younger brother John/Johnny.
Schooling/Kindergarten began at P.S.27. Grades 1 to 7 were attended, at The Visitation [1968-1975]. His final year, 8th grade, was attended at The Sacred Heart, in Carrol Gardens. He graduated, and went to George Westinghouse high school, for all 4 years, [1976-1980]. He effortlessly sailed through High School and was awarded a four-year scholarship to Syracuse University, in Buffalo.
He enjoyed working in retail. He was loyally devoted to the Benhil, clothing men's shop. He flourished there, and eventually became a Buyer. He was their walking advertisement. When the company folded, he was floored. He threw himself into religious studies, and was welcomed, into The Church of The Living Christ/ El Cristo Vivo, a Presbyterian church, on Atlantic Ave. He next was employed, for 28 years at the D.M.V. He was a Notary Republic, and filled and filed taxes, for friends, family, and all the kind strangers.
When you think of Albert, do think of him often, and think of him kindly. Don't remember, or at least try not to focus, on the pain. Focus rather, on what you gained. Hold onto the tender memories, that united, and invited the joy and happiness, that/which entered your lives. Every time you hear, say, or think the words, "Thank You", Albert's infectious smile resides there.
To all, who loved Albert…esp. his collective," Band of Brothers", Raul, Moises, Freddie, and Micheal… "Bless You", for honoring, treasuring, and carrying him through life. God always delivered, and sent in the much needed," reinforcements". I salute this troop. At ease men, Al's pain has ended. You served him well. Albert, from all of us…LOVE!!!
