Anne
Saunders
Jan 16, 1946 — Jul 16, 2021
East Orange
Anne Lorraine Saunders was born on January 16 th 1946 to Alice Spicer and William Wright. She had one other sibling Pamela Spicer.
Her parents kept her in the neighborhood for school, from elementary all the way until she graduated from Erasmus Hall High School spring of 1959. She continued her education at the University of Massachusetts and graduated with her Bachelors degree in 1963.
She returned to New York to pursue a career of freelance photography. During this time she met her soon to be husband Robert Saunders. They would have a daughter Celeste Saunders.
Later on in life she placed her photography on the back burner for a career with television news station NBC.
In the mid 90's she leaned into her entrepreneurial spirit and opened a home daycare and newsletter. This is where many people say she made her greatest impact on humanity. The children who attended her home daycare over the years were afforded many opportunities to learn about different aspects of the world through her teachings, experiences and her extravagant school trips.
In her later years she worked from home as a database analyst and telemarketer.
At the time of her passing she leaves behind a daughter Celeste Saunders, grand-daughter Tatiana Barnes, grand-son Devon Saunders, great grand-daughter Aubrey Barnes
