Anthony
Wiggins
Jun 11, 1960 — Feb 4, 2022
Bridgeport
After suffering from insurmountable illnesses for an extended period of time, we lost Anthony Wiggins on February 4, 2022. He was 61 years old.
Born June 1, 1960 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn NY to parents Alexander Fields and Mamie Odessa Wiggins, Anthony was one of six siblings. A lifelong Brooklynite he attended Public School 137, Middle School 271, and completing his formal education at James Madison High School.
An avid football fanatic, you would've thought Anthony held stock in Modell's Sportswear throughout NYC. His wardrobe was unfailingly consistent. A football jersey, a pair of denim jeans and matching fitted hat. Albeit his personal favorite teams were the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys, Anthony would wear any Jersey that fit his large frame.
His passions extended beyond football into culinary delights and womenfolk. Anthony was a remarkable cook and a consummate ladies' man. He unabashedly loved and indulged in both until his heart's content. It is what made him…him. His employment of choice was Securities which was what he did steadily until his health had begun to deteriorate and working was no longer an option.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tyrone Wiggins and sister Grace "Mickey" Wiggins. His memories are survived by his daughters Linda Williams, Anetria Williams and Sylvia Clayton. Brothers Keith, Michael and Eric Wiggins. Grandchildren Darius Williams, Cole Williams, Jace Edmund Clayton, Jade Charlene Clayton and Josiah Anthony Clayton. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be held at Dekalb Funeral Services, 491 Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn NY on Friday 18, 2022. The viewing will be 3pm to 6pm. The services start from 6pm until 7pm. The repass will be held at the Milford Palace, 190 Milford Street, Brooklyn NY 11208. Family will be at both locations to welcome friends, acquaintances and other members of family.
