Celebrating the Life of Billy Mabry Jr.
On November 3, 1960, Billy Mabry II. came into this world at Kings County Hospital in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, bringing joy to his parents, Barbara Mabry and Billy Mabry Sr. To his family, he was Little Billy (LilBilly)—a name that stuck with love. To his neighborhood, he was Too Tall.

Billy started his education at Our Lady of Good Counsel before continuing in the New York City Public School system. From an early age, he understood the value of hard work and service. He began his career as a youth counselor at Sparfic Detention Center, guiding and mentoring young lives. Later, he dedicated over 30 years to the New York City Housing Authority, where he worked tirelessly until his well-earned retirement.

Billy was so much more than his work. He was the life of every gathering—singing, dancing, dressing sharp, and sharing laughter. He loved good food and proudly claimed his potato salad was the best you'd ever taste. Fishing was his peaceful escape, but his greatest joy was being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends. Family was everything to him.

Billy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Mabry; his father, Billy Mabry Sr.; and his brother, Jermaine Mabry.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, cherished by wife, Gussie Estelle Perkins; seven beautiful children: Billy Mabry III, Anthony Mabry, Jerret Perkins, Jason Mabry, Dominick Perkins, India Perkins, and Destiny Mabry; 18 adored grandchildren; his siblings: Octavia Hazel, Trevor Mabry, Atoyar Mabry-Malave, and Kenya Mabry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, extended family, and countless friends who loved him dearly.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Please keep us in your prayers as we celebrate the incredible life of a man who touched so many hearts.
