Ernie Lance Lorenzo Terrell was born on April 5 ^th , 1971, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Katie Mae and Jordan Terrell. He was raised by his Bonus Father, the late David Heggins, whom he called Dad.

Ernie earned his education from the New York City Public School system. He attended P.S 56, JHS 117, and earned his High School Diploma from Sarah J Hale. Lance also received his Associates Degree in Business Administration from New York Technical College.

Lance was a ball of energy and had numerous hobbies, which were mostly physical. His hobbies included boxing and working out. He trained at the Gleason Gym for boxing, and even had a match with Shannon Briggs.  Lance had a passion for music. He played several instruments such as the keyboard, and the guitar. His favorite genre of music included reggae and anything from the 70's and 80's. He often enjoyed to tell jokes and to laugh. Lance was also a great cook.

He also had many dreams and aspirations. The most prominent one was to open his own food truck and later upgrade to his own restaurant and franchise.

Lance leaves to cherish a total of seven beautiful children; Ayanna, Dymanni, Kehayanna, Kayla- Rose, Ernie Jr., Kariema, Kamiya., all of NYC, sister Carmen of Akron, Ohio, a  host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and two best friends Binky, and Dexter, who he has known most of his life.
