Obituary

Johnathan Keith Howell passed suddenly on June 27th, 2023 and gained his eternal wings. Johnathan, as he was known for his smile, was born on August 26, 1987, in Brooklyn, New York to Cynthia Simmons and John Pruitt. He was the fourth child out of five children. Throughout his schooling Johnathan graduated from Benjamin Banneker High School. After graduating from high school, he pursued a career at the post office and other courier services. Johnathan was also an entrepreneur, his hobbies were listening to music, rapping and producing music. He loved hanging out with family and friends. Johnathan was full of love and laughter. Those who knew Johnathan would call him BOODY and he was also known as BUD. He was very social, and everyone loved when he came around.

Johnathan was very humble, kind and generous. He was a family man who lavishly looked out for others and took you were you needed to go. Johnathan loved his kids; they meant the world to him, he called his daughter; "Ma" and his son; "Babyboy". He was self-taught in many aspects of life; he never stopped learning and discovering which kept his mind always nourished from sunrise to sunset. He was an awesome father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. There are not enough words to fully describe his humble, witty personality.

Johnathan was preceded in death by his Brother: Corey Simmons, Grandmother: Irene Howell, two Aunts: Shirley McDonald and Evelyn Howell and one Uncle: Ricky Howell.

Johnathan leaves to cherish his precious memories: his Mother: Cynthia Simmons, his father: John Pruitt, his Daughter: Ja'nia Irene Howell, his Son: Chance Johnathan Howell, three siblings: Casey De'Sean Simmons, Brandon Simmons and Keifer Tyrone Howell, his Domestic Partner/Mother of his children: Leah Perkins, his three Stepchildren: Diamond Vaughn, Lanee Vaughn and Tyleah Allen (Shirley) one Grandson; Cuban Prince, his Best Friend; Tossaun Glassgow, his honorary Sister; Destiny Howell and a host of Family and Friends.
