Obituary

Ms. Lovelean Redding born Loveline Virginia Goldston on June 5th, 1944 to Milton Goldston Sr. and Norma Richardson in a house on West 98th St, New York, NY.

She departed this life on October 25th, 2022 at the age of 78 years old.

Lovelean was a Civil Service Worker employed by the New York City Housing Authority and New York Medicaid as an Administrative Assistant. She was beautiful and loved to dance and party. She was also humorous. She once told me the story of why she changed the spelling of her first name. She said " boy, was I tired of people calling me love line instead of Lovelean." She said "I hated it". I will miss her hilarious stories about how she would cut a rug and boogaloo. She was entertaining! We all must remember how she would tell it like it T.I. is and not like it T'was!

She was preceded in death by her parents Milton Goldston Sr. and Norma Goldston John, brother Milton Goldston Jr., sisters Jeroline Ryant and Shirley Mull, nephews; Kenneth Singletary and Jason Singletary and Ex-husband Robert Redding Sr.

Lovelean is survived by her sister Geanie Goldston. Three children; Robert Redding Jr, Andrew Brathwaite and Lovelean Browder. Her grandchildren; Shamel Thompson, Shaquana Thompson, Keishana Morsley, Tashaunna Brathwaite, LaKey Brathwaite, Shakiya Jacobs, Kendrick Haynes, Shawnte' Haynes and Josiah Thomas. She had 7 great grandchildren, nephews; Henry Singletary Jr. and Phillip Singletary and niece; Norean Goldston.
