Melissa Louise Grant was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 11, 1973 to Melvin Jr. and Hattie Lawrence.

Melissa was educated in the New York City Public School System. After graduating she went on to start her career with the New York City Housing Authority, where she worked for 24 ½ years. She loved her job where she met many colleagues who turned to dear friends.

Melissa really enjoyed shopping for clothes, bags and Uggs in every color. She liked roller skating, going out to dinner, cooking and relaxing on the countryside of Rochester.

Melissa leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother; Hattie Lawrence, her father Melvin Jr., one sister; Janice, three brothers; Robert, Melvin III and Matthew, her fiancé; Reginald Paschall of 12 ½ years, four nieces, six nephews, one great niece, one great nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
