Obituary

Naomi Seed aka Mimi was born in New York City on April 26, 1953 to the late Antonio Sosa and Noemi Sosa.

Naomi graduated from Maxwell High School in 1971 in Brooklyn, New York. Mimi also went to cosmetology school; Wilfred Academy and received a certificate. Mimi loved doing her friends hair and eyebrows. Naomi joined union with Pierre   Seed on February 27, 2001 and they remained together until her transition. Pete loved her and made sure Mimi made all her doctor visits and made sure she was comfortable and taken care of while she was in the hospital.

Mimi had various jobs. She worked in the Supreme Court as a clerk until MTA hired her as a CTA worker where she remain until she retired in 2018.

In 2019 her cancer had appeared the doctors told her she was in remission. This year her illness progressed to stage 4. Mimi was a comedian, like a few in the family. Anyone who knew her could tell you she knew how to make you laugh and smile with her slogans: "Nobody move nobody get hurt", "You jingling baby", "Too my sons and brother" she would call out; "SWAWEE" I could remember a time we were at Mr. White's, may he rest in peace, house and she said to him jokingly put your hands up Whitey your under arrest for prescription drugs, mind you he had just come from the pharmacy getting his medicine. Mimi could say things from the top of her head and the way she delivered it you could just laugh. Mimi enjoyed R&B music, dancing, watching classic TV and the casino. Mimi loved her family; her children, grands, great grands, nieces and nephews.

Mimi is preceded in death by her parents; Antonio and Noemi Sosa, her older sister; Miriam Wilson and her nephew James White.

Naomi Seed leaves to cherish her memories; her husband; Pierre Seed, two children; Niesha and Shamie Sosa, one son-in-law; Haywood Styles, her mother-in-law Barbara Mc Clary, her siblings; Doris Ramey, Gloria Gigi Sosa, Cynthia Tucker and Anthony Sosa, one brother-in-law; Frank Tucker, her nieces; Michele Soto, Crystal Latimore, Chanel Adams, Tiffany Walden, Astanti Sosa, five grandchildren; Jessica, Justina, Meghan and Mikala, one great granddaughter; Nyla, four nephews; Michael Latimore, Larry Walden, Messiah Sosa and Tyler Whitehead, three great nieces; Kristene, Kiara, Brielle Sosa, five great nephews; Ramir McBeth, Nasir Walden, Quadir White, Aiden Soto and Tristan and a host of family and friends.
