Nathaniel Richard Holmes was born July 9th, 1954, to Anna Mae Holmes and Bishop Stallings in Brooklyn, NY. He referred to himself as Anna Mae's Baby Boy and was affectionately known to most as Rickey. A lifelong New Yorker, he departed this life on November 24th, 2022, in Brooklyn, NY.

Nathaniel was educated in the NYC Public School system, attending P.S. 297, J.H.S. 33, and Eastern District High School while later obtaining his G.E.D. Nathaniel loved working with his hands in many jobs including woodworking, building cabinets, and drafting. He took pride in working for Brother's Iron Works Company, Inc and enjoyed painting.

Nathaniel was extremely proud of his children, had a kind heart, was a very good listener, enjoyed spending time with his family and dancing. He was the family go-to guy as he was a jack of all trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix or wouldn't do his best to try. Everyone called on Nathaniel to help and he was there.
