Nathaniel William White was born on June 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Pearl and Nathaniel White. Nathaniel was the 2 ^nd eldest of 8 children.

Nathaniel, affectionately known as Goochie , a name given to him by his family and he loved it just as he loved music, dancing and singing. Goochie was truly 'One Of A Kind'! There will be no more!

Goochie was a deeply private man with a strong belief in God. He was also very loyal with a loving soul; he knew he was God's child.

In 2004 Nathaniel ( Goochie ) White married Esther Johnson.

In the late 1960's Goochie began working for the New York City Transit Authority and he retired in the mid 1990's. Goochie then decided to continue his education and enrolled in The Interboro Institute where he graduated Summa Cum Laude earning his Associate's Degree. Goochie returned to the New York City Transit Authority as a volunteer and was hired as a Paralegeal. Still not satisfied, Goochie knew he could be even better so he continued his education and obtained his Bachelor's Degree. Goochie worked as a Legal Assistant in the New York City Transit Authority. He finally retired for the second time in December 2003.

Goochie's friends and colleagues of the Law Department presented him with a plaque which read: In recognition of 33 years of excellent achievements, unique leadership, wise guidance, sincere support, good humor and melodious song. Integrity is not an act, it is a habit and you have shared with us that habit. May your retirement be filled with calm seas and beautiful songs.

Goochie leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving wife; Esther of 40 years.
