Nicquta Rebecca Alvin was born on January 12, 1981 at St. John's Hospital to the late Sarah Goodwin and the late Arnold Alvin. She was better known to her family and friends as "Keya".

On February 24, 2022 the Lord called her home to be with him and the late Sarah and Arnold Alvin and other loved ones who have gone before her.

Keya was educated in the New York City Public School System. She attended P.S. 284 and she also attended Wingate High School and eventually received her GED in 2010.

Keya last job was a Security Guard with Allied Security Company. Keya's real passion in life was for her son; Quareese and making sure he finished school and attending college.

Keya loved who she loved and she loved to have fun wherever she was or was not invited. She was going to make everyone laugh and enjoy the time she was spending with them.

Keya will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by her son; Quareese Evans, her brother; Arnold (Corey) Alvin, her sisters; Shameaka Alvin, Tiffany and Janice Williams, her nephews; Dakwan, Daiquel Alvin and Javinte' Williams, nieces; Daijhane Alvin, Za'Navia and London Williams, great nephew; Zahair Alvin, great nieces; Promise and Legacy Alvin and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
