Ruby Jean Walls was born on September 23, 1935 to the union of Barbara Ruth Billingslea and Issac Billingslea in Macon, Georgia. In her late 20's she relocated from Georgia to New York City.  On Thursday December 7th, 2023 Ruby took her last breath at Brooklyn hospital

Ruby received her formal education in the Georgia school system.  Before relocating she graduated cosmetology school. She had 5 children Barbara, Melanese, Bonnie, Quentin, and Laquan. In addition to her own children she raised 7 of her grandchildren. Ruby dedicated a decade or more of her life volunteering at Benjamin Banneker Elementary schools where everyone grew to know her as Ms. Jean. She had a passion for bowling and would spend her leisure time on weekends bowling in tournaments.

Proceeding her in death her daughter Bonnie Billingslea and son Laquan Walls. She leaves to cherish her memory;  Her daughters Barbra Billingslea, Melanese Billingslea, Son Quentin Walls, Her grandchildren Aisha Walls, Corinthian Billingslea, Eric Billingslea, Saifya Billingslea, Jermel Billingslea, Mecca Billingslea, Juna Walls, Ebony Billingslea, Nicole Billingslea, Azriha Walls, Ania Walls, And Laquan  Walls. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
