Teresa D. Woodard Barnett was born on July 26, 1942 to the late Carrie and Robert Woodard in Fairfield County, South Carolina.

Teresa joined Weeping Mary Baptist Church at an early age where she was a faithful member until she migrated to New York City.

Once she was in New York City Teresa met and married John Barnett and from this union they were blessed with three children; Felicia, Velvetina and John Barnett.

Teresa was a member of the Bright Light Baptist church in New York and later she joined the Kingdom Emanual Baptist Church where she served until she passed away.

Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards, her scratch offs, playing her slots on her phone and going to the casino when she could. She worked as a clerk for many years.

Teresa was preceded in death by; her two sisters; Velvetina Barnett and Felicia Barnett, one grandson; Chris, two sisters; Delois Harris, Mariam Woodard and on brother; Clifford M. Woodard.

Teresa leaves to cherish her loving memories: her beloved son; John Barnett, three sisters; Laura Cockell of Blair SC, Rosa Woodard of Charlette, NC and Betty Woodard of New York, three brothers; Donald, Robert and Willis Spencer of Winnsboro, SC, four grandchildren; Risha, Tasha, Keyonne and Quanisa, one great grandson; Khalid Collins, Dashaan Dunn who was like a son to her and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
