Yvonne Theresa Mclaughlin was born on January 12th, 1962 to the late Mary Katherine Johnson and the late John Mclaughlin in Brooklyn, New York.

As a young child Yvonne was involved in many dance competitions then would go on to Erasmus Hall High School where she majored in dance. While at Erasmus she had the opportunity to audition for the movie Fame.

After high school Yvonne worked various jobs until she found her nitch in healthcare.

Yvonne was outgoing and sociable, the life of the party. Those who knew her knew she was a handful. She spoke her mind and took no mess from anyone. Yvonne was straight forward and caring at the same time.

Yvonne was preceded in death by one brother; Patrick Carl Johnson and one sister; June Mclaughlin.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her loving memories; her one and only daughter; Yvonne Carolyn Mclaughlin, her one and only grandson; Tyler Jordan Nelson, her sisters; Pamela Regina Johnson, Charlene Marie Holly & husband; Clayton Holly, Shameka Dawn Jones, Denise Mclaughlin Green and Jacqueline Mclaughlin Poinsett, one brother; Jeffrey Mclaughlin, her sister/cousin; Kesha Talaya Johnson, her uncle; Ray Evans, four nephews; Channon Tyler Thomas, Garland Terey Barnette, David Hatcher and Desean Hatcher and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
